Plan your ruck
Choose a distance and moving pace to estimate finish time, or enter a finish time to calculate the required average pace. Use the split table to plan checkpoints. The starting 12-mile, 15-minute-per-mile example is editable and does not establish a military qualification standard.
Method and limitations
Finish time = distance × pace. Pace = total time ÷ distance. One mile equals exactly 1.609344 kilometers. Checkpoint times use the same constant pace. Times are rounded to the nearest second for display; changing distance units also rounds the editable pace to the nearest second.
Stops, terrain, weather, pack weight and individual capacity affect actual finish time. Load is not used to change the arithmetic, and no calorie burn, fluid requirement, fitness tier or selection outcome is inferred. Set a realistic pace for your conditions and account for stops separately.
For official screening, confirm the event distance, time limit, load, uniform, permitted equipment and conduct rules in the current program instructions. This calculator does not decide RASP or SFAS eligibility.
